DAY 4
Another wonderful day diving in Bartolome and Cousins offers fascinating underwater landscapes, amongst them the terraced steps that descend to 30 m (98 ft) before dropping down to a sandy bottom at 40 m (131 ft). The steps are covered with soft black coral, and are an excellent place to find Pacific seahorses. The overhangs from some of the steps are the favorite places of the White Tipped reef sharks, green sea turtles, large moray eels, as well as octopi. Manta rays, hammerheads, schools of barracudas, other reef fish can also be seen at these sites and off into the blue.

In the afternoon, your transportation will pick you up from the hotel in Puerto Ayora at 12:30, and after lunch, you will take a speedboat to Isabela (2 hours). To arrive at this incredible sight, we travel in a bus or similar vehicle for 45 minutes to the Galapagos National Park, where we will register our visit and begin our hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano. We’ll then proceed to the Volcan Chico where you can feel the warmth of the ground as proof of its activity.
Here, we’ll stop for a box lunch before returning to the hotel. After a brief rest, we’ll have the chance to go snorkeling or swimming at Concha Perla where we can observe the colorful fish, sea urchins, starfish, sea lions, or even sea turtles.
